STT will implement EU Twinning project in Jordan

The consortium between Lithuania (Lead MS) and Austria (Junior partner) will implement the European Union Twinning Project “Support the Jordanian Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission in the Fields of Integrity and Corruption Prevention”.

The Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania (as the Project Leader), together with Police Department under the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Lithuania and Chief Official Ethics Commission, Junior partner – Austrian Agency for European Integration and Economic Development (AEI) will implement this project. The Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania will be responsible for the successful implementation of the project, Central Project Management Agency (CPMA), Lithuania, will ensure project administrative and financial management.

EU tender was launched for the implementation of this project. In addition to Lithuanian – Austrian authorities, Italy with Latvia and Finland with Germany participated in the tender.

The total Project budget is 1.500.000 EUR will be financed by the European Commission. The duration of the Project is 21 month. The purpose of the Project is to support National Institutional Efforts in Jordan to strengthen Integrity and Corruption Prevention.

The project aims at achieving the following results:

1. Develop and revise national integrity standards in the public sector to guarantee the implementation, compliance with, and activation of these standards with related institutions.

2. Enhance the capacities of specialized departments in Jordanian Integrity and Anti-corruption Commission in assessing and managing corruption risks in selected sectors.

This is already the 6th EU Twinning Project, won by the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania.
