A new Deputy Director of the STT appointed

Ms. Rūta KAZILIŪNAITĖ, after taking an oath to the President of the Republic of Lithuania, was appointed Deputy Director of the Special Investigation Service (STT) as of 1 September 2020.

The appointed Deputy Director will be responsible for the STT's corruption prevention and analytical anti-corruption intelligence activities with a view to strengthening the role of corruption prevention in creation of a transparent Lithuania.

Ms. Kaziliūnaitė has a Master's degree in law (Vilnius University). She has been working in the leading positions at the STT for seven years. For the last two years Ms. Kaziliūnaitė has been Head of the Corruption Prevention Department at the STT. Her earlier working experience include positions of Head of Administration Department and Head of the Law and International Cooperation Division of the Administration Department of the STT.

For exemplary and impeccable service Ms. Kaziliūnaitė was awarded the 3rd degree STT Badge of Honour in December 2017.

After this appointment Ms. Kaziliūnaitė became a third Deputy Director at the STT. Currently, STT Director Mr. Žydrūnas Bartkus is also assisted by Mr. Jovitas Raškevičius, First Deputy Director, and Mr. Egidijus Radzevičius, Deputy Director of the STT.
